Whales (that is, gamblers known for betting lots) prefer to bet on sports at Wynn Las Vegas, one of the swankiest books in town. Though the main section of the book can feel a bit cramped during big games, the VIP section always is spacious and inviting.

Perhaps this book’s biggest draw is its oddsmaker himself: Johnny Avello. Though he only allows wagers on sports, the bespectacled character appears frequently on E! Network’s “The Daily 10” to dish out odds for a host of popular television reality shows.

· Ambiance: Dark wood, dark colors, cavernous ceilings make the place feel formal.
· Clientele: High-rollers and white-collared preps who geek out on sports.
· Odds: Point spreads comparable with other properties; futures might be a bit more liberal.
· Food: “Zoozacrackers” is an odd name for a snack bar, but the place has reliably decent grub.
