Last Saturday, CBS Travel Editor and frequent The Early Show guest Peter Greenberg broadcast his radio show from the Venetian Resort. The line-up of guests was pretty spectacular and the topics jumped all over the travel map.

But it was Greenberg’s restaurant related interviews, locals’ commentaries, and caller’s questions that were of particular interest to our Vegas dining scene lovin’ selves. From Michelin-starred fine dining to hole-in-the-wall finds, Greenberg’s show ran the gamut.

Here’s who showed up for some Saturday coffee tawk:
AARP Executive VP Emilio Pardo discussing travel trends and how his organization helps those 45 years and older.
• John Curtas, food critic for KNPR, sharing tips to help you eat your way through some new Las Vegas restaurants. His fave local picks? Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana, Restaurant Guy Savoy, Lotus of Siam, Mario Batali’s Carnevino Italian Steakhouse, Los Antojos and Raku Charcoal Grill.
• Robin Leach, entertainment columnist for VegasDeluxe.com giving a local’s perspective for things off the beaten path. His fave local picks? Postrio Restaurant, Spago at Caesars Palace, Simon, Sushi Samba, and Marche Bacchus French Bistro & Wine Market.
• Sean O’Neill, online editor for Budget Travel, highlighting travel deals and breaking news as the holiday season approaches.
• Chef Luciano Pellegrini, head chef at Valentino at the Venetian, talking about the latest culinary delights on his menu. He also loves Bouchon, Mon Ami Gabi, Via Brasil Steakhouse, and André’s.
Wall Street Journal travel columnist Scott McCartney, talking travel news.
• AARP Publications Editor-in-Chief Hugh Delehanty discussing travel trends for Baby Boomers.
• Legendary writer/producer Norman Lear providing insight from his career creating such TV classics as All in the Family, Sanford and Son, The Jeffersons, Maude, The Facts of Life, Silver Spoons, Who’s the Boss, and many more.

The show is a bit of commitment (three hours in total), but Greenberg is fascinating to listen to and the show is chock full of insider-y Vegas gems. Listen to it here.
