Sea-Esta! at Canyon Ranch Makes All That Ails You Drift Away
After spending some time in Québec City last week, we could really use a detoxifying spa treatment. Our blood content is roughly an even mix of foie gras and French wine, and well, let’s just say getting out of bed this morning was a bit of a task. Kinda like waking up in Vegas, right?
If we were in Vegas right now (and money was no object), we’d high-tail it to Canyon Ranch Spa Club at The Venetian for the Sea-Esta! body treatment ($270). First of all it sounds like a nap, and we’re pretty sure a horizontal/closed eye scenario could definitely aid in our current situation.
The 80-minute treatment envelops you into a womb-like chamber where you breathe negatively ionized "sea air" as warm mud, seawater mist, warmed ocean stones and cooling gel are applied, smeared and rubbed all over your ailing body.
As if that weren’t enough to make everything well in your world, there’s also some scalp massage action involved in the mix. Just thinking about it makes us out throbbing head feel slightly better already, but since our funds are limited, we guess we’ll have to settle for an overpriced Gatorade from the hotel minibar.
