Where To Celebrate White Truffle Season in Vegas

Aww, yeah, baby! It’s the return of white truffle season and B&B Ristorante at the The Venetian is all over the expensive prized ingredient with its Regional Tasting Menu showcasing Piemonte.

Sure, autumn may mean braised meats, pumpkin, squash and fall spices to some, but for us it can only mean one thing – the almighty, earthy and utterly opulent white truffle. It’s blink-and-you-may-miss-it season runs a mere three to four months, not including travel time from the town of Alba in the region of Piemonte.

B&B Ristorante bows down to Piemonte and takes diners on a culinary tour de force with its regional tasting menu, only made better with the optional addition of 15 g of white truffle.

Here’s a glimpse of the tasty Italian goodness (with optional wine pairings, because it really would be flat out wrong to savor such a meal without vino):

Bollito Misto Terrine
Roero Arneis, Filippo Gallino 2008

Tagliarini with Burro Guffanti
"Vespa Bianco," Bastianich 2006

Rabbit Agnolotti with Funghi in Barbaresco
Dolcetto di Dogliani, Luigi Einaudi 2008

Vitello in Bagna Cauda
Barolo "Lecinquevigne," Damilano 2004

Toma Brusca
Barbera del Piemonte "Briccotondo," Fontanafredda 2008

Huckleberry Sorbetto
Moscato d’Asti, Gianni Doglia 2008

Gianduja Calda with Hazelnut Baci di Dama
Brachetto d’Acqui "Pineto," Marenco 2008

The menu runs $99 per person; opt for White Truffles from Alba and it’ll cost you an additional $150 per person. Add Wine Pairings for another $70, and if you really wanted to wow your date, go big with "The Riserva Selection" of wines for (gulp) $105 per person. The only catch is that the entire table must commit to this menu, so please, leave the vegetarians at home.
