More Mandarin Oriental Rooms Will Open Up December 14th

Yes, the internet is all abuzz about tomorrow's opening of The Capital of the New World aka CityCenter, headlined by the opening of Vdara Hotel and Spa.

Then on Thursday, the super luxe shopping mall, The Crystals, will open followed by the opening of The Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas on Friday, which just received a LEEDŽ Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It's the first Mandarin Oriental group to do so.

But as we recently found out, the MOLV is booked up until December 14th. That's because when they open this weekend, there are only a limited number of rooms available. And predictably, the small quantity of rooms sold-out. Unless there is a cancellation, your best hope for staying at MOLV is December 14th and later.

The great news is that the hotel's opening "We Fan Vegas" offer, which gives you one night complimentary if you book just one night, is still going on then. Using that deal, we found Mandarin executive rooms on floors 9-20 for essentially $212 a night. (The total comes out to $476 including taxes.) You could even splurge to a Mandarin premier room for $232 a night (Total: $521 including taxes.) Considering that rooms will go back up to about $400 a night (or higher), this is your chance to stay for less.
