What You Find Inside The Barbie Suite at The Palms May Surprise You

We were totally a Barbie girl (in a Barbie world) growing up. We had the corvette, countless Kens, the pleather carrying case and a wardrobe that would make Paris Hilton’s pretty little blonde head spin.

So, while we think all the themed suites at Palms are swell (especially if you have gobs of money to spend), we’re especially tickled by the Barbie Suite. Kinda like a real life Malibu Dream House, the spacious, 2,350 sq. ft. suite was designed by Top Design judge and fifty percent of the design world’s most famous gay twosome, Jonathan Adler.

Once you get over the initial shock of Pepto Bismol pink in all its estrogen-fueled hues, the über-girlie accents are pretty cute and clever. We giggled like a school girl at the sight of the lace-up corseted “dress” chairs, the shoe patterned wallpaper, and oh yes, the kitschy sunburst mirror made from 65 reproduction 1959 Barbie dolls.

Barbie’s wholesome image was called into question the second we spied what appeared to be a stripper pole in the pearly pink tiled shower. Is it a bachelorette party amenity, because we have a problem visualizing a mommy and daughter or girlfriend getaway working the pole, much less in the shower, unless Dina Lohan is having some quality (ahem) parenting time with Ali. We kid. Seriously. Take a look at the photo and give us your thoughts.

The Barbie Suite is only available through June 1, 2010, so if you (and up to 50 of your gal pals) want to be pampered in pink, book it now. Pink chic doesn’t come cheap – room rates start at $3,000 per night.

Globetrotting Gourmet recently stayed at Palms courtesy of Palms, and although she may have behaved semi-badly, did not work any moves on the stripper pole in the Barbie Suite.

Stripper Pole Rentals in Las Vegas

My wife had been secretly taking pole dancing lessons and decided she was going to surprised me on my birthday by having a company in Las Vegas called Las Vegas Stripper Poles set up a pole with a stage and lights in our hotel room.  After dinner we came back to the room and lights and everything were flashing.  She performed for me on that stage and even now Im still amazed.  The dinner we had was good the the dessert was amazing best birthday present I've ever had.
