$750 Can Get You a Weekend Stay at The Palazzo or 1 Cupcake

You've just won it big at the tables inside The Palazzo so what are you going to spend your winnings on? If you've got a serious sweet tooth and no understanding of saving your money for a rainy day, then consider the $750 cupcake inside the casino's Sweet Surrender sweets shop near the guest elevators.

Decadence D’Or is made of the exotic Palmira Single Estate Chocolate which is derived from the rare Porcelana Criollo bean and cultivated in Venezuela. The cupcake is also made with Tahitian Gold Vanilla Caviar, a fruit that ripens for nine months and can only be pulled out of its shell by tedious extraction. It's also the world’s most labor-intensive agricultural crop. Already, we're in a sugar coma. But there's still more to this cupcake:

Topping the Decadence D’Or is the masterfully smooth Louis XIII de Remy Martin Cognac, 100 years in the making, and edible, metallic gold flakes, each painstakingly hand-placed. Finally, once baked to perfection, this grand dessert is encased in a stately, hand blown sugar Fleur-de-Lis and presented on a handmade exclusive elegant crackled-gold glass curved plate and bowl.

Put it in perspective: You could have a Palazzo concierge bella suite with Strip views for $698 a night. Or you could pay $700 for two nights in a regular room at the hotel. Or you could eat a cupcake in all of 10 minutes for $750. Your choice.

Just want a regular old cupcake? Sweet Surrender has their fancy take on these too. Flavors include Red Velvet, Lemon Strawberry, Chocolate Ganache, Carrot, Black Forest, Strawberry, Coconut and Chocolate Fudge at a doable $3 a piece. Also for sale are any sweets your mouth desires like lollipops, candies, toffees, cookies and chocolates. The shop is open Sunday through Thursday from 10am to 10pm and Friday and Saturday from 10am to midnight. Special orders should call ahead at 702-607-0753.
