New Year's Eve Parties Pack Lots of Celeb Power

We have mad organizational skills that put Julie the Cruise Director to shame, but even we can’t compile everything that’s going down in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve, so you’re gonna have to settle for bite sized installments. (We like lists.)

We don’t want to tell you what to do (we’re so not the boss of your social schedule), but we have one rule of thumb. If you’re thinking of ringing in the new year in Vegas and you want to make sure you can get into a specific party, buy your tickets now.

Why? We’ve learned the hard way that the closer it gets to the big date, the higher the ticket prices are hiked. And guys, since in many cases, you’re already paying two or three times the face value of tickets compared to the ladies’, we’re guessing you don’t want to get price gouged any more than absolutely necessary.

Here are our NYE party picks for the week:

Prive
Holly Madison will host NYE at Prive nightclub with sounds by Jermaine Dupri. The party starts at 9p.m. and general admission tickets for the ladies (with open bar) cost $50; tickets will set the guys back $150 (with open bar). Ouch. Buy your tickets here.

Tao
As we told you last month, Christina Aguilera will host NYE at TAO at The Venetian. Tickets are spendy at $150 a pop (plus taxes and fees), but at least it’s the same for both sexes and includes a bunch of extras, including: entry into the nightclub, open bar and passed hors d'oeuvres from 9pm to 11pm, and a champagne toast at midnight. After midnight, present your TAO New Year’s Eve ticket stub at LAVO Nightclub in The Palazzo for complimentary admission. Get tickets here.

LAX
The Black Eyed Peas are pulling down the biggest price of admission we’ve found so far, with tickets starting at $200 for their stint at LAX Nightclub at the Luxor. Feeling flush? Plunk down $25K (yes, you read that right) for a “Meet and Greet VIP Package” for up to 10 people, which gets you within sniffing distance of the fab hip hoppers, 4 bottles of Belvedere, 4 bottles of Dom Perignon, and mixers. (But it doesn’t buy you tax or gratuity.) Get your tickets here.

We'll keep the New Year's Eve suggestions a'coming, right up until the 31st. But if you’ve heard a NYE event that you’d like us to give party props to, please leave us a comment below.
