Where To Find Free Gambling Lessons

March 6, 2009 at 11:53 AM | by Erika Pope | 0 Comments

Las Vegas casinos have a vested interest in boosting your gaming confidence…after all, if you think you know how to play, you’re more likely to try your hand at beating the house. Of course, the more you play, the more money the casino is likely to win in the long run. Therefore, several casinos are only too happy to offer their patrons complimentary gambling lessons. Here are a few that do:

Gold Coast

Craps can be one of the most intimidating games for newbies, so they are the most popular lessons offered. The Gold Coast is located a few blocks west of the Strip, across from the Palms on Flamingo Road. Lessons are offered Friday through Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

Venetian/Palazzo

These sister properties on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sands Avenue offer craps lessons in their craps pits at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., as well as blackjack lessons (in the blackjack pit) at 12:15 p.m. and – for those who want to give the game with the lowest player odds a whirl – roulette lessons at noon.

Planet Hollywood

Wannabe players can sample the Strip’s largest gaming curriculum here, including rare tutorials for mini baccarat.
· Craps: Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.
· Pai Gow Poker: Monday-Friday, 1:15 p.m.
· Texas Hold’Em: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. or upon request
· Blackjack: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.
· Roulette: Monday-Friday, 12:30 p.m.
· Mini Baccarat: Monday-Friday, 1:15 p.m.

Golden Nugget

This classic Vegas gem offers downtown’s most comprehensive slate of gambling lessons, including four varieties of poker. Here’s the breakdown:
· Craps: 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
· Three-card Poker: 10 a.m.
· Pai Gow Poker: 10:30 a.m.
· Texas Hold’em: 11 a.m.
· Bonus Poker: 11 a.m.
· Roulette: 11:30 a.m.
· Blackjack Noon
