Who To Call For All Your Party Needs

April 21, 2009 at 7:45 PM | by juliana | 0 Comments

We have two pieces of advice if you are planning your Bachelorette or Girl's Night Out party in Las Vegas.

· 1. Keep It Small. You may have 19 friends that want to celebrate your last weekend of freedom but try to pick 6-8 of your nearest and dearest. A smaller group makes everything easier from figuring out the costs to getting into the clubs.

· 2. Consider Hiring a Party Escort. No, not that kind of escort. More like a party hostess who will plan your entire evening or weekend and give you personal attention at every one of your party stops. Someone like Jeannette Ivy.

Jeannette works with The Light Group, which has some of the most popular nightclubs and restaurants in town. As a VIP party host she coordinates an entire evening out at the Light Group properties and essentially takes care of whatever you can't be bothered with as you celebrate (regret?) your final night as a single gal.

Jeannette will set up your prix fixe dinner at one of the Light Group's restaurants (Fix, Yellowtail, Brand, Stack or Diablo's Cantina) and reserves your table at one of Light's clubs or bars (JET, The Bank, Caramel, Revolution or Mist). Daytime activity is even taken care of with Light's BARE pool at The Mirage. Everywhere you go, you will have VIP attention, i.e. no waiting in line or other annoying buzz kills.

The Menus
Jeannette and The Light Group have put together different pre-set menus for various party budgets. At Diablo's Cantina in the Monte Carlo, $30 per person will get you appetizers like chips and salsa, Diablo's death chicken wings, fully loaded potato skins, shrimp and avocado cocktails and Mexican pizzas as well as some dessert selections. Similarly, at STACK in The Mirage, a $35 per person meal includes a light salad, small shared bites for the table and dessert.

Or you can go bigger with a $60 meal at Yellowtail at the Bellagio which includes three shared starters (rock shrimp, edamame, salads), a choice of an entree and dessert. At Fix, also in the Bellagio, a $55 per person meal has the same type of plan except there's donuts for desserts.

The Clubs
Once you've got your stomach properly coated for a night of drinking, Jeannette will escort you to your next venue whether that be the intimate Caramel at The Bellagio or the always-bumpin' JET at the Mirage. Bottle service is recommended and the Light Group can offer a discounted price on the bottles.

At Caramel and Mist inside TI, a Skyy vodka bottle or house champagne goes for $200 or you can just do 2 for 1 drink specials instead. The Bank, JET and The Beatles Revoluion Lounge offer drink specials depending on what day you are there. At BARE, the European-style pool, the Light Group offers VIP entrance.

VIP Attention
As we said earlier, Jeannette or one of her co-workers will be able to escort you from place to place as needed. Each restaurant, bar or club that you hit up along the way will be notified in advance of your arrival so you won't hear that dreaded "You're not on the list" BS.

On-Call Availability
Jeannette is available at all times during your night out whether by cell or text or in-person. Any time you have questions, or if you're running late or if you want to switch up your itinerary last-minute Jeannette will accommodate you. However she does strongly recommend getting to the nightclubs before midnight as she's only on-property until 12:30am and clubs aren't apt to keep reserved tables open by that point.

Extras
Of course, these type of "Girls Night Out" parties won't be satisfied with just eating and clubbing. There might be other, um, services desired. Jeannette can make referrals for these extras such as private strippers, pole dance lessons, make-up applications, tanning sessions and something more practical, like transportation.

The Cost
The cost of the meals, as listed above, are per person and do not include alcohol or taxes or service charges. The bottle and drink specials at the clubs can be split amongst your group. Jeannette and co. do take a credit card # during the reservations process but they won't charge it until the night of your party.

You can split credit cards amongst your group (three is the max) but cash is much easier when you're divvying up the costs. And when it comes to tipping the hostess, Jeannette says it's not mandatory but of course, very much appreciated. $5 to $10 to per person is suggested.
