The tour price is $224 per person, plus tax and gratuity. If you're feeling flush from the tables, you can also check out the Skywalk, a glass and steel, totally see-through walkway that extends 70 feet beyond the rim and gives visitors a look all the way down, 4,000 feet to the very bottom of the canyon. Ummmm, have fun with that one. You'll find us back in the Trekker, possibly whimpering a little.
Oh, and about that Trekker: yes, it's called Pink Jeep Tours, but guests actually travel in the Tour Trekker, the company's "brand-new, first of its kind, high-end and spacious sightseeing vehicle," which makes sense given the length of the tour and the fact that Pink Tour Trekker Tours just doesn't have the same ring.
The Vegas-to-Grand Canyon-by-car trip typically takes four to four-and-one-half hours, depending on your need for speed and lack of concern over reckless driving tickets. It also begins at 7:30am so try to stumble back to your hotel room before 2am to get at least a little shut-eye.
The tour is about nine to 10 hours, with stops for pics at the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, the desert community of Dolan Springs and the Joshua Tree forest before you arrive at the Grand Canyon. And of course, for pee-pee breaks and leg-stretching.
To book, call (702) 895-6777 or visit Pink Jeep Tours.
