The Excalibur's Wide-Screen Rooms Are The Only Ones To Book

The Excalibur may have some of the cheapest cabanas in Las Vegas right now but they also have the cheapest rooms. We've seen rates go as long as $31 mid-week for the standard Excalibur rooms. However, we advise you to spend $20 extra and book one of the hotel's recently renovated rooms in Tower II.

The so-called Widescreen rooms are wide in terms of size, feature widescreen TVs and have wide views of the blue and red orange spires outside. We stayed here the other month and the good news is, we survived the night. We liked the big bed and the blue and gray color scheme. We didn't even mind the medieval dragons plastered on some chair pillows and the room door.

The bathroom now features a high, marble-topped vanity sink but oddly enough, the shower was not redone at all. So it's an old shower. Yup, you guessed right. We aren't showering here.

We were also peeved by the lack of a safe in the closet and the $13.95 internet charge. But with room rates as low as $56 mid-week, it's a hard deal to beat. And hey, at least those sheets are fairly new. We hope.
