The AP reports that the new service is scheduled to start in late October, and that prices for roundtrip flights will start at a very reasonable $460 before taxes and fees.
McCarran lost service on bmi Airlines from Manchester last month, although Virgin Atlantic Airways still runs daily flights into McCarran from London Gatwick. But Heathrow, despite its fairly horrid reputation, is still considered the grand dame of airports in the U.K. because of its unsurpassed hub status. In fact, the new BA flights mean it’ll be easier for people from dozens of countries to get to Las Vegas.
The new flights aren’t showing up yet on BA’s website, but we’ll keep checking back in so stay tuned.
