SpyOnVegas Serves Up Free Daily Happy Hours
It’s paradise for party people every weeknight at Open Bar, the free happy hours organized by local club circuit Web site SpyOnVegas. Just register online to become a "member," then, prepare to drink free at different venues courtesy of different liquor sponsors, five nights a week.
Some Open Bar events even include free concerts, like tonight’s at VooDoo Beach at the Rio. Print out your free voucher on the SpyOnVegas site, and you’ll skip the $10 cover charge if you’re a fella (ladies are free anyway), and enjoy a concert by 90s alt rockers The Spin Doctors.
In addition to whatever free libation you’ll be offered (Foster’s is SpyOnVegas’ co-sponsor on this one, so we presume…), VooDoo Beach also features its own happy hour pricing from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. featuring fresh-fruit mojitos, specialty cocktails and half-price beer specials. Doors open at 5:30 and the concert starts at 7 p.m.
Friday’s event is a concert by Ozomatli at the Hard Rock pool, with resident DJ88. Beverage sponsors are Sauza tequila and Vitamin Water, so you can chase your shots with some designer H20. Come on. It’s hot out here people. You gotta hydrate. Again, tickets are required for entry and free vouchers are available on SpyOnVegas’ site.
Open Bar is free, but a SpyOnVegas did go to the trouble to post a reminder to its members on the site essentially saying that bartenders don’t work for free and tips are expected. So, remember to bring enough singles – or fives if you really want to be a swell guy or gal – to last the night. Open Bar goes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every weeknight.
