For the first time in its storied, bloody, brutish history, the National Hockey Leagues Awards ceremony will be coming to Las Vegas. And where else would a sport played eight months out of the year on a sheet of ice want to take its biggest celebration?
The 2009 NHL Awards will take place at the Pearl Concert Theatre at the Palms on June 18 and the red carpet is reportedly going to feature the likes of everyone from Snoop Dogg to Michael Bublé. Of course, there’ll also be a long lineup of hockey greats on hand, too, and the NHL will be announcing its season superlative trophies at the ceremony.
Tickets are a predictably steep $504, can be purchased at Ticketmaster and include entry into the after-party at Rain nightclub (as long as you’re 21).
Regular room rates at the Palms the night of the awards start at $159 for a King Deluxe, but if you book the Party! Package online, you’ll pay just $139 for a junior suite, $30 dining credit, free spa pass and VIP nightclub line pass.
