Criss Angel Afflicts Vegas With 'Affliction' Shirts and Other Mindfreak Gear
For all of you who want to look and be just like Criss Angel (and you know who you are), it’s now as easy as a visit to Circus Circus. Envelop yourself in all the Angel-ness at the magician’s third official Mindfreak store, which has opened on the second floor of the hotel, just across from Adventuredome.
It's a curious location, to be sure, but one that could possibly benefit from tired and dizzy teens just off their tenth go-round on the Canyon Blaster who stumble in on their way out of the amusement park.
If you’re looking for an Angel-designed Affliction tee (cause who isn’t?!), this is the place to go. On Angel’s site), they sell for $100. In store, you’ll only have to pay half of that to look like death-warmed-over-gone-uber-goth-chic. Angel’s DVDs are also more affordable in the store—$30 instead of the $50 you’ll pay on the site.
In all there are more than 700 items for sale at the Criss Angel store, none of which (thankfully) have any affiliation with Believe, Angel’s mostly reviled show at Luxor (and not because it probably wouldn’t sell, but rather because of contractual stuff). You will find a bunch of "Mindfreak" stuff and all kinds of other things (bejeweled tanks, posters) designed by the man himself.
One of the store’s worker bees tells us that soon they will also be featuring a magician who will camp out in the front corner and demo some tricks. It won’t be Angel himself, but if you want to catch him in the flesh, come by tomorrow between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., when Criss will be signing autographs and slinging merch in the store.
And remember, if he tries to push tickets to Believe on you, make yourself disappear. Quickly.
