3. No Divorce Papers Needed
In addition to some conventional form of identification (e.g., passport, driver’s license, birth certificate, military-issued I.D., etc.), marriage license applicants who have been married before are required to know the month, date, year and city in which their divorce was granted. A copy of the divorce decree is not necessary. They trust ya.

4. It Might Not Be Legal Back Home
International applicants are advised to check with their local municipalities to obtain any documents necessary to ensure the marriage is recognized in their home country.

5. How To Pick A Place
Thanks to the no pesky waiting period (or blood tests for that matter) as soon as you have your license in hand, you are ready to get married. The only question is, where? In addition to kitschy wedding chapels, Vegas does, in fact, have plenty of more traditional wedding options, including a Catholic cathedral on the Strip and luxurious wedding digs at places like Wynn and Bellagio.

To help you plan your nuptials, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority offers this handy wedding-planning area on its Web site, which includes a searchable list of chapels, as well as links to all the other pertinent info you’ll be looking for. And here you can find a list of fun facts about Vegas weddings, including an interesting roster of celebrity couples who’ve been married here (we challenge you to identify any that are still married).

As far as price goes, well, that's up to you and how well or poorly you've been gambling but a cursory search found us the Vegas Basic Ceremony package for $75. It includes a ceremony at the Wee Kirk o' The Heather wedding chapel, a witness and traditional wedding music. But you can only bring along two guests. May we suggest not inviting the Elvis and Marilyn Monroe impersonators?
