Here’s another one from the not-everything-in-Vegas-is-about-shameless-self-indulgence file (in other words, there are plenty of Vegas denizens who really do have a heart).

For the 23rd year in a row, Las Vegas charity Golden Rainbow will be throwing its “Ribbon of Life” fundraising event. Proceeds go to providing financial assistance and housing to men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS.

This year’s lineup will include a three-part theme: Rock ‘n’ Roll, Retro Lounge and Motown. Acts performing include Flamingo mainstay George Wallace, the a cappella group Mosaic (which frequently opens for Wallace’s show), and members of the casts of O, Jersey Boys, Zumanity, Human Nature, Crazy Horse Paris, KÀ and Sin City Bad Girls.

It’s a diverse lineup, sure, and the overarching goal is a philanthropic one, but rest assured that none of these folks get on a stage without giving it their all. It should be an entertaining show.

It all starts at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Las Vegas Hilton theatre. You can purchase tickets, which range from $50 to $250, here.
