What It Really Costs To Stay Dry at MGM Grand's Wet Republic

How do the hot girls in all the pictures at pool parties stay looking so hot in the extreme heat? Their makeup never smears from water, they're never sweaty, and they're in the hot desert sun the whole time.

Answer: they periodically go back to their shady cabanas and recharge with fresh drinks while they powder their noses.

If you're not into the whole sweating your makeup off at Vegas' hottest pool parties, it might be a good idea to invest in a cabana or bungalow so you can keep cool in the shade. Wet Republic, one of the top pool parties in Vegas at the MGM Grand, has cabanas, bungalows and day beds to choose from, and while they're pretty expensive, they come with amenities and a separate VIP pool and jacuzzi area. Something to think about when you're shelling out this much cash.

Cabanas at Wet Republic are $1,250. Quite the chunk of change, but not compared to a bungalow, which go for $1,500. Both have $750 food and beverage minimums, but if you choose to shell out those prices, you'd better get a nice set-up. Wet Republic knows this, and that's why its bungalows and cabanas are next to three VIP private pools and jacuzzi. You don't have to mingle with the common folk! Just the other rich folk - or the people who look like they're rich because they're so in debt.

Besides your privacy and the shade of a cabana or bungalow (there are 10 cabanas and six bungalows), both have oversize couches and ottomans, a Blu-ray disc player, DVD library and giant flat screen TV, XBOX 360, a stocked mini fridge with all kinds of goodies, ceiling fan and iPod docking station.

Since the cabanas and bungalows come with the same amenities and are in the same general area at Wet Republic, we recommend saving some cash and reserving a cabana if it's the high life you want to experience at the ultra pool. If you can't cough up that much cash, day beds are a great way to feel like a baller - even though they come with none of the amenities cabanas/bungalows do, you'll be front and center and above everyone else there with a prime spot by the pool.

Choose between covered and uncovered daybeds, covered going for $300 during the week and $350 on the weekends, and uncovered for $150 during the week and $250 on the weekend.
