The Mandarin Oriental Inside CityCenter Will Open In December
In our last snapshot of the CityCenter construction, we mentioned that the Mandarin Oriental Hotel would be opening in late 2009 but we weren't quite sure that would actually happen. However, a hotel rep has just sent us some info saying the hotel will open in early December 2009.
The 47-story non-gaming hotel will hold 392 rooms and suites as well as 227 residences. Much like the Mandarin Oriental in New York, the hotel's Sky Lobby will be located on the 23rd floor allowing guests to check-in amongst views of The Strip.
Up in the guestrooms, expect the Mandarin Oriental's traditional combination of contemporary decor and technology.
Every guestroom will have exceptional technological enhancements, including keyless door locks and automated control panels that allow guests to manage the lighting, room temperature and entertainment systems at the touch of a button. Three lavish presidential suites are featured on the hotel’s top floors, each measuring over 3,200 square feet.
The Mozen Bistro, the Mandarin Bar, the Tea Lounge and the Amore Patisserie will round out the drinking and dining establishments on-site. A two-level, 27,000-square-foot spa will feature 17 treatment rooms and a dedicated yoga studio. A pool with at least 20 cabanas and a pool cafe round out the rest of the luxe amenities. Oh and the Mandarin Oriental's well-heeled guests will have access to The Crystals luxury mall via a special sky bridge.
Right now, online booking is not available so we don't have a starting rate for these rooms but Mandarin Orientals never come cheap. We wouldn't be surprised if rooms started at $350 a night.
