For Halloween, Circus Circus Confirms Your Suspicions That It's Frightful
Some of Circus Circus’ most treasured staff
Uncharitable souls might say that Circus Circus is enough of a frightfest already, but since we love the West Tower rooms, of course we’d never moot such a thing.
However, it definitely will be turning ghoulish from tonight, when the Fright Dome opens in preparation for Halloween.
The whole of the Adventuredome will be turned into a five acre haunted house tour/ride/live experience (see here for a review of last year’s), and there will be “plots” from the Saw franchise and My Bloody Valentine along with five haunted houses. What to do? Think interactive games a la Saw, and being scared shwitless by the various extras employed to creep up on you and creep you out.
There will also be a zombie zone, as well as a Show of Magic & Horror courtesy of magicians Dixie Dooley, Rudy Coby and America’s Got Talent’s Dan Sperry.
And if that isn’t enough tomfoolery for you, the 13th floor will be turned into a ghost tour of 13 rooms, complete with hotel furniture that comes to life, a séance and various spectral extras to interact with.
Just the kind of freakery we like on a Friday. Although we may need someone to tuck us up in bed after that one, and possibly not at Circus Circus.
Fright Dome is open 7pm-midnight Oct 1-3, 8-10, 14-17, 21-24 and 28-31. Tickets cost $34.95 and it's not suitable for under 12s.
