Ignite Lounge Is Now Bringing the Heat

October 26, 2010 at 4:04 PM | by | ()

The Monte Carlo continues to add to its fire and ice theme. After adding Las Vegas’s second Minus 5, Ignite Lounge is now open to warm the cockles of your heart after a visit to the ice bar. The new lounge is free, open 24 hours, and offers signature cocktails, over 30 beers, extensive champagne and wine lists as well as cigars.

Located near the front of the casino, a former video poker bar has been outfitted with 14 flat-screen TV’s, deep red-tinted doors and LED lighting that changes colors to create the warm effect they’re going after.

Not content to lounge around 24/7, dancers take over the Ignite Lounge stage near the Party Pit Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm-3am. Not sure yet if the stage will be used the rest of the week for other entertainment or instead remain cold.

While Minus 5 is more about the novelty of the frozen experience, Ignite sounds like it could be a decent spot to chill. We’ve been partial to the cigar bar above Andre’s restaurant for a smoke until now, but we love choices. We aren’t hot on the name yet though. Not only is Ignite the name of a shuttered fire and illusion show that may look familiar to America’s Got Talent fans, MGM has already used the name in Detroit.

If the drinks, cigars, and dancers are good enough, we’ll forgive the name borrowing.

fire themes

i love how the monte carlo, nearly three years after their top floor fire, is embracing firey themes here.

Ha! We should've used a pic with the smoke billowing out the top floor.
