It's almost time to party like it's 1999 (plus another 12 years).

If you plan on spending New Year's Eve with a few thousand of your closest friends on the Las Vegas Strip, and haven't nabbed a room quite yet, you better start thinking about it now. Prices are already high and rooms are getting scarce.

Here's a round-up of where you can still get a room (and where you can't) and for how much based on what we found on the hotels' websites. It's alarming how many properties are sold-out but over the next few weeks we'll keep monitoring the room rates closely. Maybe some more rooms will open up.

And keep in mind, that prices change all the time so don't blame us if they go up by the time you get around to it!
