Expect to Pay Upwards of $200 a Night for New Year's Eve

Want The Bellagio? Sorry, you'll have to make do with The Flamingo.

While the party options in Vegas this New Year's Eve are seemingly endless, the rooms are going fast. Sike. There's always going to be enough rooms in Vegas but reasonable room rates are disappearing fast.

All of our favorite hotels on the Strip are going for nearly $400 a night. And that doesn't include the resort fees most places are charging these days!

Nevertheless, there are some options left. We tried to pick places that wouldn't gross you out but wouldn't also decimate your budget.

We searched HotelRates.HotelChatter.com for rooms in Vegas from December 31-January 2 (because we doubt you'll wake up in time on New Year's Day for that 11am checkout) and here is what we found*:

· Planet Hollywood: $234 a night. This is probably more than we'd ever shell out for PH but aside from having a fun casino and the Miracle Mile shops you will be right across from The Cosmopolitan and their Jay-Z/Coldplay New Year's Eve concert. Want to save a little more money? The PH Towers are just $219 a night.
· Hard Rock: $237 a night. We know, the Hard Rock? But compared to other hotels, it is significantly less. And remember, Luda' will be shaking his moneymaker there.
· Golden Nugget: $149 a night. Hurrah! A hotel that's under $200. Sure, it's downtown but if you're looking for a less expensive celebration, the GN is a fine place to get it started.
· Flamingo Las Vegas: $203 a night. We had a tough time choosing between Harrah's, Bally's, Imperial Palace and Flamingo, but we ultimately decided that the Flamingo is the lesser evil. If you want to splurge, the fun, techy GO rooms are $250 a night.

Found a hotel room for less? Tell us where, we wanna know!
