We swung by at 7pm last night, and were told it had been open for a whole three hours. So after we raised praises up on high, we sat down for a meal. We’ll tell you how the food was tomorrow, but in the meantime, check out our favorite part of the bar:
No, not JR the foxy barman, but the egg timer. They’re planted on the bar every two seats, and they’re the centerpiece to P.U.B’s boozy selling point: if you down your beer in the time it takes for the sand to run through (seven seconds), you get your pint ($6 and up) for free. Ace idea, right? Although we’re afeared it’ll make the place a honeypot for douchebag bees…
