Tragedy Hits Hard Rock as President is Found Dead from Apparent Suicide

Extremely bad news out of Vegas today as the president and COO for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was found dead in what Las Vegas police believe to be an apparent suicide.

TMZ is reporting that Andrew (Randy) Kwasniewski was found by his wife in their home this morning and law enforcement said he appeared to have a self-inflicted gun wound to his head.

Over the past year, the Hard Rock has gone through extensive renovations, including opening two new towers and doing all that it can to keep the place fresh and exciting as well as attempt to draw in big spenders and classier clientele. Which has to got to make it even harder for the Hard Rock family to handle this type of tragedy.

However, this isn't the first time that Hard Rock has been involved with an untimely death at its executive level. Former Morgans Hotel Group CEO Ed Scheetz (Morgans owns the Hard Rock) was forced to step down from his company after his girlfriend was found dead of an apparent overdose in his Las Vegas apartment.

In later lawsuits filed against the married Scheetz on behalf of the victim's family blamed the "hedonistic sexually permissive and promiscuous lifestyle" promoted by the Hard Rock Hotel as a contributor to the girl's overdose.

There's no doubt that details will be emerging about Kwasniewski's death as the day goes on and we'll do our best to update you on the sad situation.
