Drinking Nickel Beers at Todd English's P.U.B.

You may have to go to Circus Circus to get a cheap room rate but you don't have go to one of Las Vegas's fading casinos to get cheap drinks.

Todd English's P.U.B inside Aria, launched its first-ever Nickel Beer Night drafts last night and VegasChatter headed on over to drink up. Sure it was a Tuesday but how could we pass up nickel beers? (Also, we're alcoholics so that makes things easier.)

The 5 cent beer offered that night (and for foreseeable future nights) was Pabst Blue Ribbon which is apparently Todd English's favorite beer (he's such a hipster!) Just for sheer shock factor, we went all out and ordered 20 8oz cups of PBRs for two people. Yes, we were those folks in the corner pounding cups of beer. All for a grand total of $1.08. Needless to say, we gave our waiter a healthy tip.

See what we did after we drank all those beers!

Why, we made a tower to show off our accomplishment! Then we kicked it down.

Nickel Beer Nights will happen every Tuesday from 9pm to midnight . The special is only available to those sitting at the bar or at the tables across from the bar so make sure you're in the right spot! For more info, check out P.U.B.'s Facebook page.

i think

i may see if those $27 excalibur rooms are still going. this is amazing.

also, question

what is the tipping etiquette on 5c beers?

We guessed

We guessed and gave him a $10 bill.

We figured that was still way less than the beers would've cost otherwise and seemed like a healthy tip for a (big) round of beers.  Note that we picked up the kicked over cup tower ourselves.
It's also all we had and didn't want to risk the shame of running a credit card for $1.08.

insanity

crazy americans with your 1000% tips. i would have left $5 (unless it was JR, who deserves $10, just for his name)

we may have tipped more

if the bathroom attendant hadn't conned us into giving him $9 for some spritzes of usher perfume. but that's another story.

also should mention

It took the waiter 3 trips to get deliver the whole order.  We lost count after the 2nd delivery so were quite surprised when he showed up again with more cups.

But not as surprised as when our neighboring table dropped off the leftovers they couldn't finish.  Not sure whether to thank them or curse them...
