Kerry Simon to Open His Own Burger Joint, KGB, Inside Harrah's

Having dropped out of Cathouse at The Luxor, chef Kerry Simon has landed nimbly on his feet at Harrah's where he will open the KGB restaurant in early July. Yes, KGB as in Kerry's Gourmet Burger, but not-so-subtle references to the Soviet spy agency will appear.

The burger joint will serve lunch, dinner and late-night bites. On the menu will be "inventive burger offerings, signature snacks and sides including 'Iron Chef' sliders and tater tots and sweet selections such as strawberry shortcake push pops." You know Simon, he always needs a junk food platter to complete a meal.

The restaurant will also take on a very different look for Harrah's. The walls will be covered in 1960s Russian propaganda posters and the full service bar will feature vodka hostesses, an ice bar and chilled vodka specialty drinks. There will also be flat-screen TVs (practically expected in all Vegas restaurants) that will rotate from sports events to "retro-style images."

We're loads excited for this joint to open (and so soon!) as we love burgers, we're intrigued by Kerry Simon and his signature black chef's jacket and it gives us a better reason to stop in at Harrah's. The last time VegasChatter ate there, it was a bit depressing.

KGB will be open at Harrah's from 11am to 11pm on weekdays and until 2am on weekends. And stay tuned next week for our special chat with Kerry Simon himself!
