Wynn Launches a $20 Resort Fee Today, Who Will Be Next?
Go here for VegasChatter's Resort Fee List.
Only the day before yesterday, we were extolling the virtues of the Wynncore for its lack of resort fees. Did we tempt fate? Because this afternoon, Vegas Tripping is reporting that Wynn is introducing a $20 resort fee, to cover access to the fitness center, in-room internet, free local, domestic long distance and toll free calls, and boarding pass printing,
The only problem is, that although the staff on the reservations line are informing customers about the resort fee (we just tried), there’s no sign that we can see of it on the reservations page of the website. Can anyone say Buffet of Buffet debacle?
We're in two minds about this - on the one hand, we can see that if you were going to use the gym ($30) and the internet ($13.99) this would work out as a deal, but on the other hand, resort fees make us seethe. Also, people, you need to sort out your website before you introduce something like this, no?
In the meantime, that just leaves Aria and Bellagio fee-less, as well as Harrah's, which is still proudly flying the no resort fee flag in all its properties. Keep holding out guys - apart from anything else, it makes you look good.
