The Westin takes pets up to 40 lbs and any larger pets will have to get prior approval. (Not so sure your chimp or pet pig will be considered.) Guests will have to pay a $150 refundable deposit charge and a $35 non-refundable cleaning fee. Pets will be provided with a pet bed and food bowl and mat, as well as an official Westin "Dog in Room" sign. No word if they have a special sign for cats or birds.
But there's a slight problem with the Red Rock. Previously, dogs weighing less than 30 pounds were allowed to stay in the room with you so long as you paid a $100 non-refundable deposit fee. However, the Red Rock is no longer a pet-friendly resort.
Oops, looks like the Westin it is (and that GR88.com has to do an update.) Anyways, the Westin is closer to the Strip than Red Rock. So you'll have more places to gamble while Fido chews his way around the room. Although technically, you're not supposed to leave pets in the room unattended but c'mon, this is Vegas.
Know of some pet-friendly places to stay in or around Las Vegas? Let us know where!
