More Pet-Friendly Places to Crash With Your Pet in Vegas

Pretty please will you bring me to Vegas with you?

While the Red Rock is no longer pet-friendly, there are still a few places to bring your furry friend along with you in Vegas. The The Westin Casuarina seems to be the only place on the Strip that takes pets (other places do allow service dogs) but you can find a few more hotels off the Strip.

Two Station Casinos, of which Red Rock is a part, take pets within a certain weight class for a non-refundable cleaning fee that varies from $40 to $50 a stay. Check out the pet policies here for Boulder Station and Sunset Station.

Meanwhile, Whiskey Pete's takes dogs up for 50lbs for $15 a night plus a $50 non-refundable cleaning fee. (But our tipster brings up a good point "You wouldn't stay there, so why let your pet?")

Another reader says to hit up the budget chain hotels in the area such as Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites. These hotels also require a non-refundable cleaning fee and at some properties, a per night fee as well.

In the meantime, while you're scouting out places to shack up with your pet, we'll be working on a business plan to bring WAG Hotels to the Strip. It's a doggie boarding/daycare center which each dog has its own hotel room (some with flat-screen TVs), room service and even a spa treatment (aka doggie bath.) The only thing is your dog's room rate may cost more than yours!

Know of some pet-friendly places to stay in or around Las Vegas? Let us know where!
