Finally, a 1/11/11 promotion that doesn't require you to get married.

Twitter user and @VegasChatter follower @VegasPhotog tipped us off about a pretty sweet room special going on right now in Downtown Vegas.

The Gold Spike, a Vegas ..um.. classic that still retains its old school ...erm.. appeal while sporting a nice (if not fancy) new reno, is offering mid-week room nights from $11.11 as part of an 11-hour sale.

That means you've got less than eight hours to take advantage of this deal. The offer ends at 10 p.m. PST tonight.

Wanna stay on a weekend? Rates start higher at $33.33, but are still pretty darn fantastic since you're getting an un-scary-fied new room product as well as all-around experience.

A quick check of the Gold Spike's website shows rooms typically go for $90 on the weekend and $40 bucks mid-week. A word of warning: The Gold Spike charges a $7.95 resort fee that remains in effect for this special so that may make this deal a little less sexy.

If you do snatch up this offer, don't forget to check out Downtown's shiny new photo op, but keep in mind that some things are still scary no matter the cheap-o deal.

I booked this offer for April and Halloween through hotels.com.  I love this place and can't believe how cheap it is for the clean rooms you get.
