We went on a Wednesday and were, maybe, one of 40 people there to see the band - about 10-15 of which were standing in front of the bar.
The layout is very loungy with comfy couches and waitress service. Since it wasn't very crowded, we took advantage of the space to grab a seat. While this was nice for us, it had to be a little awkward for the band to be playing behind a bar and seeing a room of people that were not paying attention.
If you're an audiophile, you'll notice the acoustics of the room aren't very good as there are TV's hanging from the ceiling, open walls and lots of (Vegas) chatter. (See what we did there?)
If you're a gambler, you may be hard pressed to find the spreads and a betting window to place wagers on your favorite games. We've walked by the Book and Stage a few times and haven't noticed it. Neither have our friends. We're open to direction, so if you know where we can bet feel free to call us dummies and point it out.
Since The Cosmopolitan seems to always be busy on the weekend we're expecting to see many more people when we return tonight as opposed to last night.
Hopefully, people will buy lots of drinks so Cosmo can keep doing these awesome concerts for free. Unfortunately, since it's a public venue, we expect a lot more people will bring their favorite beers from outside to save money like they did on Wednesday.
You can check out a list of upcoming concerts here.
