While we like to tell you what to do and not do in Vegas, that doesn't mean we don't mess up every now and then. It's true. VegasChatter makes Vegas Mistakes, just like everyone else! In this installment we realize that 24 hours doesn't always mean you can rock n roll all night and browse whenever you'd like*.

The physical home to Pawn Stars continues to be a popular stop when friends and family are in town and this weekend was no different. Rather than heading straight to In and Out or Capriotti's from the airport, we drove toward the Gold and Silver sign that proudly proclaims Open 24 Hours in of each episode.

We'd previously visited the shop late in the day and therefore set expectations not to see the Old Man nappin' in the office, Chumlee handing out Chum Lee business cards, or Rick's various buddies handing out opinions like candy on Halloween. Our evening visits must've been before 9 p.m., though.

While the Pawn Shop is open 24 hours, the showroom tourists cab down to see in person is only open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.. Overnight, the after hours window that's featured Chum dropping off Subway for Cory offers the only peek into the shop.

While a late-night excursion to the Pawn Stars might be profitable for cabbies, it was awfully disappointing for the many tourists we found looking to grab a t-shirt or key chain souvenir. At least we can all take solace in knowing that mom's wedding ring, those unused Elvis tickets, and the fancy watch we never wear can be pawned 24 hours day or night. Just ring the bell.

*Technically you can still pawn 24 hours a day, just don't expect to do it inside the cozy confines of the store's walls between 9pm and 9am.
