The One Where Things Happened A Little Faster Than Expected

Almost a week ago, we peeked in on the under-construction sportsbook at the Venetian and, from what we saw, we thought there was no way it could be done anytime soon. Well, here's where we're big enough to admit we were wrong because it reopened. Today.

If you're wondering what it looks like, let's just say if you've ever been to the Cantor sportsbooks at the Tropicana, the Hard Rock, or The Cosmopolitan, you know there's a 'one size fits all, if it ain't broke don't fix it' template at work.

The Venetian does point out, though, that the new book now features "one of the world's largest high definition 4mm black video screens" (read: bad ass) "capable of showing 34 independent sporting events simultaneously." (read: really bad ass.)

If it ain't broke

I'm all for not recreating the wheel but if they're all the same whats to make me want to go to one over the other - just the hotel/location?

Not sure how I feel about the trend of all sportsbooks starting to look the same.  I guess in the end the purpose is the same but..

And size..

I suppose size might matter too but still.
