After infusing us with holiday cheer, we should have known the Grinch wasn't too far behind at the Venetian/Palazzo.

@rjlynch21086 on Twitter is staying at the resort soon and discovered a dispiriting resort fee hike in the fine print:

The increase will bump the resort fee at the Venetian/Palazzo from $17 to $20 as of January 1. Let's hope for a holiday miracle that this isn't the start of a New Year trend.

Uggggh!

Well, I was planning on returning to the Venetian/Palazzo before Xmas for the ice skating and other holiday cheer. I guess I better do it now before the new resort fee kicks in. Granted $20 is what all the other higher-end properties are charging (ok, MGM Grand is not higher-end but they think they are) so it's not that crazy. Still, a bummer. I just pray that the increase will help the WiFi network.
