What Happens When Moms Party in Vegas? We're About To Find Out

December 23, 2011 at 3:41 PM | by | ()

This weekend while you are home for the holidays hanging your stockings with care, decking the halls, trimming the Christmas tree, conspiring by the fire, riding in a one-horse open sleigh and putting the final touches of marshmallow fluff on your gingerbread houses, take a moment to think about your dear mother and ponder this question, "What would happen if Mom and I were put up in a house in Las Vegas together and went out partying every night?"

You probably couldn't imagine a worse scenario, right? But for a certain group of mothers and daughters who party together this is actually the premise for a new reality show from VH1 called, Mama Drama.

Grantland tipped us off to the show in the 2012 Reality Draft Prospectus for their Grantland Reality TV Fantasy League, saying that it will begin airing on January 1 at 10pm. Except there is nary a trailer of the mamas causing drama to be found. There is, however, a still photo and some more details from Hollywood Reporter:

The series places five mothers and their daughters in a house together to see how their BFF status can withstand the time together and alongside other mothers and daughters with similar relationships.

“With this show, I had the same experience I had in Jersey Shore [Season] 1,” [Creator Sally Ann] Salsano says. “Where I couldn’t leave the control room because I could not believe what was happening before my eyes. At any second chaos could erupt, and most days it did.

Oh god. We can't wait. The DVR is already tuned up! We just hope these ladies venture outside of the house to Vegas hotspots to do their drinking. In the meantime, let's play a game of Guess the Mother with the photo above!

Anyone have any scoop on the filming of this show, Mama Drama? Let us know!

There are sooooo many things I want to say about that picture....instead I'll just note there are only 11 people in the pic.  So either one mama has two daughters or someone was too embarrassed to show up for the PR pic.

Or that one...nah I'll leave it at that.

Parents are and not should not be BFF's with their kids--this is what's wrong with society.  Be parents, not pals.  Notwithstanding the MILF's, I shan't watch this show for that reason alone.

Can't wait.
