You Can Still Find A Room On The Strip For NYE, But It'll Cost Ya

December 23, 2011 at 8:13 PM | by | Comments (2)

There's still room at the inn on the Vegas Strip for New Year's Eve, but if you've waited this long to book -- you might want to see how many friends are down with heading to Sin City with you. And, splitting the costs.

We hit up uber search engine, hotelrates.hotelchatter.com, to find out which Vegas resorts still had the 'available' sign flicked on. On the high range sits ARIA priced at $599 for December 31st. And, yes, that's for a standard room.

In the "mid" range, you'll find Planet Hollywood at $391 and Bill's at $325. If you're looking for anything lower than that anywhere in Vegas, you might as well look in Summerlin. Seriously.

VegasChatter will be tripping around the Vegas casinos with care this Christmas weekend. We'll see you back here on Tuesday, December 27. Happy holidays, everyone!

*All rates quoted are for the night of December 31st only. As always, rates are subject to change.

It's Bad

I can't believe how bad it is this year for hotels. I found airfare for $400 roundtrip from Boston,,, but can't find a single room.

Last year,, it was the airfare that was murder,, but it seemed like I had much more of a selection of rooms for around the $250 point.

Rooms

Just booked on Saturday and got 3 nights comp'd at Rio (Friday - Monday) for this weekend.  I have a Platnium card from total rewards so not a high roller by any means.
