At South Point, A Tale of Two Sportbooks

December 5, 2011 at 1:05 PM | by | Comments (2)

We love our sportsbooks and like everything else in life we're always looking for a better option. So far, we haven't found anything we like more than spending a day watching the games at Lagasse's Stadium, but we found an interesting sportsbook at South Point.

Most sportsbooks are comprised of both traditional sports and horse racing books. Sometimes the sportsbooks have too many TVs focused on the ponies for us. During football, baseball and basketball seasons, there's always a better option than horses for us. South Point has alleviated some of those issues.

The South Point casino has separate books for sports and horse racing. Sports has more TVs and more space to watch the games, while the Race Book is mostly made up of chairs and almost felt like a classroom in the middle of the casino.

We really like the setup of the Sportsbooks at South Point and it's definitely something we'd consider a positive for staying there. Also, they have .75 hot dogs all day long. We can't argue with that!

Love It

I love South Point--not for the books--but it is one of my favorite and most gambled-at casinos in Vegas. Always stay on the strip but always game in local joints. This is one of the best!

@jgbpdx

I really enjoyed my first experience @ South Point. This is one of the locals spots I don't hear much about. Glad to hear others digging it to.
