UPDATE: Our Favorite Super Bowl Prop Bets

(UPDATE: If you'd like to see all of the Super Bowl prop bets set by Wynn/Encore, click here.)

Prop bets (short for proposition) are easily the most fun bets that we can make for Super Bowl XLV.

While not often profitable, it's fun to throw a few bucks down on random or dumb props in the beginning of the day and see the results as the game unfolds. We've found that these bets are often more fun than betting on the game itself. (Full disclosure: we aren't pros and look at the Super Bowl as a holiday, not a work day so go with your gut when making your own bets.)

There are a lot of very silly bets available from which side of the coin will land face up to what color gatorade will be used to shower the winning coach. This year, we got our hands on the prop bets offered by John Avello at Wynn. Here are some of our likely wagers:

Team to Score First & Win the Game: Steelers/Packers = 3-1, Packers/Steelers = 4-1. We like both of these bets since we can bet on both and still walk away winners if either happens.

Total Int's @ 2.5: Over = +210, Under = -250. We like the over as there will likely be a lot of pass attempts.

QB Combo @ 10.5: Over = +135, Under = -155. QB Combo is total TD passes, INT's & Sacks by both QB's. We love the over here. Lots of action to root for!

Player to Score Last TD: A lot of options, we love the field bet here at 5-1. If the game gets out of hand, we'll be drunk and rooting for our favorite fat guy (BJ Raji) to score!

We just had to include this shot of BJ for chuckles.

There are literally hundreds of prop bets and these are only our favorites. Other wonky bets include:

●Average jersey number of all players that score a touchdown?

●Will at least one quarter be scoreless?

●Which team will call the first timeout?
