Caesars Gives Middle Finger to Competition, Improves Odds for Gamblers

April 1, 2011 at 2:14 PM | by | Comments (5)

In a move that surprised us more than we could have imagined Caesars Entertainment announced that they are moving away from the competition by offering better odds for gamblers.

Last week we noted comments from Rick Mazer, President of the Flamingo, where he stated that they're competitive with their competition. We assumed this meant that they're satisfied with the status quo and not being anything special.

So, the news that all Caesars Entertainment properties will now have only 3:2 blackjack and will have full pay video video poker where the worst game is 9/6 Jacks or Better took us by surprise. After we calmed down we did a double take and saw that all Caesars properties were going to have 100x odds craps too! Our love for craps is strong and when the house edge is almost zero we will almost certainly find a way to achieve Diamond Total Rewards status again!

Needless to say we are stoked that half the strip has shunned convention and status quo to welcome us gamblers into their casino again like back in the day. We look forward to the other strip casinos following suit and joining Caesars Entertainment in improving odds for gamblers.

Unfortunately for others, the good news ends on the gaming floor as the Buffet of Buffet deal is still $49.99 for the public ($49.99 for TR members). So while gamblers rejoice for the changes at Caesars properties, not everyone is so happy.
