Lynyrd Skynyrd To Rock Vegas' BBQ Scene

Does classic rock and BBQ sound like a good combo? Well, that's about to happen as Lynyrd Skynyrd plans to open a restaurant in Excalibur Hotel. Singer Johnny Van Zandt spoke to VH1 Classic and explained the band’s plans, saying:

“It’s called Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Barbecue and Beer. It ought to be a lot of fun. We took a lot of stuff like from the Hell House because that’s where the band really made their chops out there in Green Cove Springs, Florida, they called it the Hell House and pretty neat thing there so there will be a section there and some different memorabilia and we’re going to go out and play a couple times a year. It ought to be a neat thing to do.”

BBQ seems as if it will fit in with the medieval times flavor of Excalibur and we can always enjoy BBQ and beer, so this may be a nice option at the south end of The Strip. We'll also get a few yucks watching drunken dudes yelling "Freebird" at the top of their lungs.
