Still One Of Our Favorite Strip Hangouts, Even After All This Time

We all have our favorite places to hangout and have a drink in Vegas. One of our favorite places to grab a drink, Petrossian Lounge, at Bellagio never seems to come up as a "Let's meet here" spot by others. So, why would the "lobby bar" at Bellagio be one of our favorites? It's a question with multiple answers.

Bellagio is not the hotspot it used to be, especially with The Cosmopolitan and CityCenter as its neighbors. Now there are lots of shiny new places to meet in the center of The Strip so it's easy to forget an old reliable.

We love exploring what's new, but we never have the same experiences as when we visit Petrossian Lounge. First and foremost, Petrossian makes some of the best drinks anywhere in Vegas. Just boozy enough to not be overpowering. Of course, it's lobby location is easy for people to find when they enter Bellagio, which makes it an ideal place to meet. That same location also makes people watching an amazing part of the Petrossian experience. We've played many fun people-watching games with our friends here while passing the time.

While we're not always in the mood for musicians when we go out, we don't find that to be the case at Petrossian. The piano in the middle of the bar patio is always welcome music to our ears. It's not intrusive, but is a nice accompaniment to the slight rumble of the casino.

We know we're gushing a little and romanticizing the Petrossian Lounge and it's because we've had some great times here. The pic above is from a night out with friends smoking cigars and drinking vodka. It was an amazingly mellow hang with good friends, good booze and good smokes. The piano player was playing holiday music which almost made the setting surreal. This is the kind of romance that we have with Vegas, in general, and part of why we like this lounge and this city so much.

There are plenty of great bars to hang at, but the Petrossian Lounge is one of our favorites. What's your favorite? Share down below.

My Spot

I'm not much of one for hanging around in one spot for long (always have the itch to move on), but when I do I like View Bar at ARIA. It's another "lobby bar," but still feels a bit removed. Comfy seating and good people-watching.

Oddly enough, I usually end up there when it's not open for service so I can't tell you how the drinks are.. yet!

Open?
