Station Casinos Improves Boarding Pass Players Club

September 14, 2011 at 11:38 AM | by | Comment (1)

Our week started with the rumor of Station Casinos changing their Boarding Pass players club and after a little digging we found those rumors to be true. Today, Station Casinos officially announced their changes to Boarding Pass. The reach of Boarding Pass is expanding, giving cash back and making it easier to gain points and achieve higher statuses.

The first change is that Station Casinos is expanding the program to officially include Fiesta and Wildfire for one unified card to that can be used at 18 casinos, more than 50 restaurants and all of the other venues at the casinos.

Cash back for our play is a nice little bonus that not every players club provides. Every 1,000 points accrued under the new Boarding Pass system will give us $1 cash back that we can use anywhere in the world. This will come in handy to those of us that receive multiplier offers in the mail and will likely affect the local customer than the out-of-town visitor.

Station Casinos lowered the threshold to achieve higher statuses with the launch of the new Boarding Pass. Here's how it breaks down.

Preferred was achieved at 999 credits and now is the lowest tier and kept under 1,000 credits.

Gold is new and achieved at 1,000 credits

Platinum is now achieved at 40,000 credits instead of 75,000

President is now achieved at 100,000 credits instead of 225,000

Chairman is now achieved at 300,000 credits instead of 750,000

As discussed earlier this weeK, players club points all expire. Boarding Pass is extending their points cycle from 3 to 6 months. This will make it easier for us to jump tier statuses since we have twice as long to earn points. In addition to traditional casino games, status credits can now be earned on all wagers including pari-mutuel (horse) waging, poker, sports book and bingo.

Boarding Pass also changed how many points and credits we earn per dollar played. Once nice thing about this is that they offer more detail than most player clubs. Unlike most strip properties, you can't earn points or credits by spending money in restaurants, spas, etc. At the same time, it's nice to know how much is earned by playing poker, something that's not often publicized by the other players clubs. Here's how is breaks down: (Points are used as comps and credits are used to earn higher status.)

Video Poker: $1 = 3 points and 1 credit

Slots and Video Keno: $1 = 3 points and 3 credits

Race & Sports: $1 = 1 point and 1 credit

Pari-Mutual: $1 = 20 points and 10 credits

Bingo: $1 = 5 points and 1 credit

Poker: 1 Hour = 1,000 points and 100 credits

We always look at casinos doing something for the customer with some skepticism but, at first glance, the updates by Station Casinos to Boarding Pass all seem as if they're good for the player. This artcile is garbage

How much did Station Casinos pay you to write this article?

Here is the real conversion

$5000.00 wagered equals $15.00 in comps

Compare that to MLIFE

$5000 wagered equals not only $50.00 in comps but $25.00 in freeplay.

That would make stations program 5 times worse than Mlife's program.
