Could Absinthe soon be taking its final bow (again)?

Absinthe, what a tease you are. Last fall, you worried us sick that you would be leaving us forever, but it turned out we were just on a break while you tore down old memories to erect new ones in the form of a permanent event structure. You can imagine our déjà vu then when we saw this recent tweet from our beloved Melody Sweets:

Late October would end the show's latest run after only one year. Could the tent really be coming back down again this fall? Our hearts can't take it if true. Tickets are currently on sale only through April 1, so trolling Ticketmaster for further clues is no help.

Here's to hoping Penny's sock puppets will keep Melody and the Absinthe cast tied down past October. We'll settle for a short break if that's what you need. Just don't see other people or go away for good. We don't want to have to search for another Best Show and Fav Celebrity come 2013.

Then again with audiences like that above, perhaps we all needed a wake up call. Definitely go see Absinthe now before October falls. Meanwhile, we'll hope for another show extension and pictures of the Gazillionaire welcoming the sleeping beauties with his own extension.

Absinthe not closing

I was told by Jennie Connery (GM of Absinthe) that show not closing after 4-1. New tickets offering coming to Ticketmaster in February. Hope it is true as I want to see show in May.

Enjoy the show in May. And let us know what you think!  I'm sure Ticketmaster just hasn't released the batch of post 4/1 tix yet.

We hope that the curtain doesn't fall for good come October.  Figuratively. Since there is no curtain.

A Meteor

The arrival of Absinthe on The Strip was refreshing and appreciated.  If it indeed does leave us (permanently), it occurs to me that what we've seen is made that much sweeter by a too-brief existence.  Go see this gem while you can folks.  The nights will be darker when it is gone.
