The Real Big Game(s) Ahead

January 17, 2012 at 7:35 PM | by | ()

The Super Bowl is a special day in Vegas. It's one of the busiest weekends all year. The Super Bowl is also known as the "Big Game" for contractual reasons (the NFL won't let companies use the name unless they pay), but here's a secret -- the Super Bowl isn't really the big game. The best day of football is ahead of us. This Sunday. The AFC and NFC conference finals are typically the most fun to watch in the entire NFL season.

This isn't to say that the Super Bowl isn't an awesome time for football, but the better games are played before it. Yes, we'll be stoked when the random prop bets are released and we'll be somewhere on The Strip looking for a good party (VegasChatter guide coming soon), but this Sunday we will be alone to watch the real big games and won't be taking calls.

If you love football like we do, you'll enjoy the best NFL has to offer this weekend and then enjoy the parties, gambling and commercials of that other Big Game!
