Best Bang For Your Buck: The Gun Store vs. Machine Guns Vegas

January 3, 2012 at 7:08 PM | by | Comments (2)

When Vegas visitors want to shoot their weapons, there was previously one place that came to mind thanks to the tens (hundreds?) of billboards scattered around the valley and California highways: The Gun Store. Any day now, there will be another sexier luxury lounge to take aim at. Machine Guns Vegas will add some sizzle to target practice, but in the end it's all about shooting guns. So, how does The Gun Store and Machine Guns Vegas rate against each other?

The Guns Store's famous selling point is the chance to shoot a real machine gun. MGV touts their ultra-lounge combined with a state-of-the-art indoor gun range staffed by sexy ladies. Both offer individual and package gun rentals. Will price be a differentiator or will the arms race all come down to the sex factor?

RENTAL GUN STORE MACHINE GUNS VEGAS WINNER
Handguns: 20 rounds $25 20 rounds $24.95 Tie
We didn't count the nickel difference. Don't shoot us.

Other Machine Guns: 25 rounds AK47 $50 50 rounds M60 “THE PIG” $99.95 Coin flip

Several different packages at both offer the chance to pull the trigger on multiple weapons:

The Gun Store Choice package ($99.95) includes:
· 75 shots H&K MP5 SMG
· 20 shots SIG P226 Pistol
· Two Targets
· One t-Shirt

The comparable SAS package at Machine Guns Vegas ($159.95):
· 50 rounds HK MP5
· 20 rounds Sig Sauer P226
· 50 M4 rounds
· Three targets
· One t-shirt

Kids can even browse similar packages aimed at them from both gun shops. Ladies, too, but the Gun Store carries pink AK47s if that sways the vote. Machine Guns Vegas counters with a coupon for 100 free rounds of .22 ammo. With two ordained ministers on staff, the Gun Store doesn't shy from Shotgun Weddings.

Based on individual rental prices, Machine Guns Vegas squeaks out a hair-trigger lead. Putting a couple packages head to head, the choice isn't so clear. You can measure all the Gun Store packages against those of Machine Guns Vegas to see if you can declare a winner. In the end will you stick to the long-time Vegas leader or will the chicks lure you into their lounge?

Really?

There are people out there with a burning desire to feel what it's like to shoot a real machine gun? Do not understand that at all.

That said, I would still go with the Gun Store because of the pink guns and the Shotgun weddings! Way to make something kinda scary and dangerous seem funny and silly.

So in order to appeal to the female demographic, what Machine Guns needs to do is hire some Thunder from Down Under dancers who can dress up like soldiers, do pushup and kiss their biceps while asking if we've been to the gun show as Shot Through The Heart plays in the background. That's just something off the top of my head. Heh.

MGV

Machine guns vegas is also offering Shotgun Weddings. They offer professional photography and coordination, with people that have over 10 years of experience.

MGV has hired attractive men as well as attractive women.

I think Machine Guns Vegas is doing it the right way.  I'd definately go there.
