Watch out, Cosmo. Flamingo can do WTF out-of-the-box ad campaigns, too.

Instead of pantless bellmen and random bunnies, however, Flamingo is weirding us out with one guy's trip to meet the girlfriend's family or, as their ad team terms it, "the ultimate male fantasy":

The spot has "John" meeting his gf's sister (a babe), her mother (babe), her dad (babe) and the family's goldfish (babe). It ends with the tagline, Get more than you bargained for, while a voiceover tells us that we can "find tons of special events and deals every day at Flamingo.com." (Which currently wants us to book a room from $35 a night, check out the Margaritaville Casino and get Donny and Marie tickets.)

So, what do you think? Quirky, yes, but will it get you to take a second look at Flamingo? Or, to reserve a stay? Give us your take in the comments below.

Sells Vegas, Not Flamingo

To the extent this ad works at all, I think it sells the Vegas concept generally, and Flamingo barely if at all. It's too similar in feel to the wildly successful "What Happens in Vegas" campaign.
