Welcome to the Jungle, Vegas Style

Getting a key to the city is passe. Having a street named in your honor, well, that's a pretty big deal.

Under a warm October sun, members of Guns 'N Roses (minus Axl Rose... obviously...) welcomed everyone to their jungle as Paradise Road was dubbed Paradise City Road earlier today.

"Paradise City" was one of the band's biggest hits from their 1987 debut album, "Appetite For Destruction." Clark County Commissioner Mary Beth Scow, casino execs and the band appeared to temporarily rename the road that runs alongside the Hard Rock Hotel. GNR is starting an extended run in Las Vegas, playing 12 (hopefully) mind-blowing shows in The Joint October 31st through November 24th.

Tickets start at $45, plus the usual bullsh*t service fees. Visit ticketmaster.com and thejointlasvegas.com for more information.

10.30 Update: Oh, dear. Now, the city wants to take it all back.

The fact that Axl (not surprisingly) didn't show just makes this all the more comical.  It's like renaming Flamingo Abbey Road and having only Pete Best show up.

That's ME!

That's me in the Gn'R shirt on the phone! Hahaha.

Can't wait

I've seen both the "old GN'R" and the "new one" several times. The new line up is excellent. We can't wait to fly in next Monday and see them again next week!
