Scouring Sin City For The Best Deals in Golf

It was Sir Isaac Newton who taught us that, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The "action" in this particular case is that the temperatures in Las Vegas have been dropping to the point where one can comfortably enter a car without fear of melting into the seat before starting the ignition.

Unfortunately, the "reaction" to the welcomed climate change in the Southern Nevada desert is that greens fees around the city are going up in anticipation of increased play. As a result, it's become our job to scour Sin City for some of the best values in golf that will be available over the next five months:

Course(s): Bali Hai, Royal Links, Desert Pines
Dates: Now through May 31, 2013
Details: Walters Golf is offering a variety of packages this season, beginning with the $299 "Stay and Play" which includes three nights at Treasure Island and two rounds of golf at any of WG's three championship courses. Those of you coming to town for a shorter stay may prefer the $229 package that includes two nights at the Hard Rock and a round of golf at both Desert Pines and Royal Links. Each of Walters Golf's three courses has been awarded 3.5 or more stars out of five by Golf Digest.

Course: Badlands Golf Club

Details: One of our favorite tracts in town, Badlands is offering a "Stay and Play" package as well that includes a one-night stay at the Suncoast Hotel & Casino (located right next door to the course) and a round of golf for two people starting at $69 per person. This is a solid deal considering one spin on the course at this time of year can cost as much as $145.

Details: So you want to take a spin on one of the toughest courses that Las Vegas has to offer, do ya? For $273, TPC Las Vegas is offering a two-night stay at the Red Rock Hotel & Casino in Summerlin, one round of golf, complimentary transportation to and from The Strip and a one-hour golf lesson at TOUR Academy TPC Las Vegas. If you're not a single digit handicap, that lesson could prove to be worth its weight in gold, as this course is no walk in the park.

Course: Stallion Mountain
Dates: October 2012 through April 2013
Details: Looking to play a round in Vegas but don't feel like lugging all of your equipment halfway across the country?
